We made it!
Climbing Fuji was a truly amazing experience. I wish I had time to upload the photos and write up my thoughts but I’ve got to work!
I put some photos on flickr.
We're off to climb Mount Fuji
We’re heading out to climb Mount Fuji and enjoy the hot springs in Hakone.
I’ll be uploading pics from the cameraphone along the way. Check em out on this Flickr map*

Update: The Geotags didn’t seem to work very well.. Oh well.

Imagine being a Suns fan right now. You just spent the past two months believing that your team got screwed by the Stoudemire/Diaw suspensions, that you would have won Game 1 if Nash didn’t get hurt, that you would have taken Game 3 if you hadn’t been screwed by the officials, that you would have cruised in Game 5 if two of your best guys weren’t suspended for running toward...

Possibly the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever seen. I used to like Burt Reynolds and Ray Liotta. Uwe Boll needs to commit Seppuku for his crimes against humanity.

As we walked back from the theater, discussing plot points and speculating about what might happen in future films, who lives, who dies, etc. I realized something mildly inconvenient and irritating. That is, the 7th book is already out on the internet. Meaning some asshole, like CNN or Yahoo! or mugglefucker1974@aol.com will probably spoil the endings of the whole series for me any day now.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007) →
I don’t read the books, and I’m still totally embarrassed by the corny nomenclature, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to enjoying this movie a great deal more than I expected.
The first decent Potter film was the 3rd in the series, “The Prisoner of Azkaban.” It’s a beautifully shot time-travel story directed by Alfonso Cuaron (who went on to direct the...

Arwen says: i’m not sure that it will get you fired up politically, but it certainly scared the shit out of me.
I had heard some pretty amazing things about Jesus Camp, especially on the political blogs and boingboing and the like. It even got good reviews on sci-fi/genre movie news sites like aintitcool.com
So I had it downloaded pretty much the instant it was released. But like Why...

Why We Fight (2005) →
I’m getting addicted to the docs. I’d wanted to watch Why We Fight for a long time, but never got around to it. (too distracted by STV Nick Cage garbage like NEXT thanks mom!)
But thanks to Sicko putting me in a political frame of mind, and having been burned by Nick Cage once already this month, we opted against the freshly downloaded copy of GHOST RIDER, and finally clicked on the...
Sicko (2007) →
Just finished watching Sicko. You should really see it as soon as possible. Reminds me of Aunt Karen failing to pre-approve her emergency surgery. And my having a couple thousand in medical bills not covered due to a lapse in coverage. Fuckers.
